Who knows how to weed CAD-CUT® materials better than those that weed thousands per week?

I wanted to get the inside scoop, on how to make weeding the excess material away from your CAD-CUT designs faster and easier, so I took a trip down to StahlsID Player Name production center.  These women weed thousands of player names, number sets, and logos each week so I visited to get the scoop on their tips and tricks.

Tip from Josann:  If you are having a hard time getting the excess material to weed off the mylar carrier, place a section under your heat press, warm it up a little, and presto!  The carrier weeds like butter!

Warming Hard to Remove Material Allows for Easier Weeding

I would have never thought of this, but I watched Josann place a design under her clam press, warmed it a little, and it worked.  She said she doesn’t have to do this too often, but if you come across a batch that is tougher to weed and pull off, this little trick works.

Tip From Vicki:  She places an inexpensive pen/pencil sponge protector on her EZ Weeder and this helps cushion it and makes it easier to weed.  Cool tip Vicki, I’m going to get one of these for each of my EZ Weeders also!

Use a Pencil Cushion on Your Weeder

If you’ve got a WEEDING TIP to share, send it our way by commenting to this blog entry.  I’ve got more tips, from these great gals at StahlsID , so stay tuned!
