The Specialty Graphic Imaging Association (SGIA) will be holding its annual Expo October 19-21 in New Orleans, Louisiana. Founded in 1948 as the Screen Printing Association, SGIA is an international trade association for specialty imaging professionals. Covering fields such as digital printing, screen printing, sublimation, and embroidery, SGIA allows its members to connect to a global community in an effort to share information and ideas, and to foster innovation. The association, headquartered in Fairfax, Virginia, offers its members access to web resources, industry news publications, workshops, seminars, and conferences. Their mission, as stated on their website, “is to provide imaging professionals with the tools and information needed to make the best possible business decisions.”
The 2011 Expo will feature educational sessions, networking receptions, a keynote breakfast, and a dinner party, as well as hundreds of exhibitors displaying the latest technology in the industry. The show floor will also have several educational zones, such as Stahls’ Heat Printing Zone booth 3625, the Digital Apparel Production Zone booth 3125 and the Screen Printed Apparel Training Zone booth 3319, where industry experts will give hands-on demonstrations of the latest technologies and techniques. Some of our own webinar presenters such as Josh Ellsworth, Juliet Kalmeta, Alison Zucarro, Peggy Elliott and Courtney Matlick will be featured as industry experts in these zones.
