On Thursday, January 7th Peggy, Patrick and Mel presented a webinar on the latest styles and trends to consider for the 2010 baseball and softball seasons.
We talked about the different types of uniforms most often used for all levels of baseball/softball from rec leagues all the way up through the collegiate level. We went over decorating tips for working with split fronts, raglan, v-neck and henley shirts along with pants, shorts and off-items such as bags and gloves.
For the front of the uniforms, team names can be applied using a variety of products available. One of the newest and most popular products is SimStitch®  from Stahls ID Direct™ .  SimStitch® is a twill material with a laser-etched stitch pattern, giving the appearance of sewn twill. The laser-etching also seals the edge of the twill, eliminating the need to sew the product on the garment. It’s a great way to get the professional look without the hassle and cost involved of sewing!
We also discussed new styles of letters and numbers for personalization (Transfer Express® in Mentor,OH has some great new styles available for 2010), and the sizes of lettering most often used- 2″ letters and 6″ numbers for youth sizes, and 3″ letters and 8″ numbers for adult.
