Whether you already have a heat press or are in the market for a new piece of equipment, knowing the basics of heat presses and how to use them is a vital part of any business. In our webinar we walked through the basics of heat press construction and operation and then showed you what is important to look for. We covered how features such as: digital controls, accurate temperature, and pressure indication are essential to proper application of heat transfer. There were also video tutorials to show you how each type of heat press works and how you will need to evaluate the differences before adding a one to your business.
One type of heat press is the cap or hat press. This type of press should really be considered a multi-function press as there are some many different items that can be applied with it. From hats to gloves, from sleeves to necklines, this press can do it all! You can heat press to shoes, wallets, leather belts and any number of odd or curved shaped items that would be much more difficult with a flat press. Adding this to your lineup is opportunity maker.
The next type of heat press is the clam style. This a is a great space saving press that can accommodate almost any type of garment. Look for features such as digital temperature control, pressure indicator and auto release to make your job easier and more efficient.
The swing type of press takes a bit more room as it needs space to “swing” away from the platen. It keeps the work area cooler and allows for the operator to place garments, remove mask or backing and any other number of operations without the heat platen directly above their hands.
The Hotronix® Fusion is revolutionary type of heat press as it allows the operator to get the functions and benefits of both a swing type press and a drawer type press. The operator can decide which to use and switch between them on the fly. The fully programmable touch screen digital display makes selecting your settings and keeping them easier than ever before. There is also the thread-able platen allowing for garments to fit underneath the lower platen area, making it possible to keep seams, buttons or pockets away from the heat while pressing. This machine also has a quick change function for the platens making it the most versatile heat press to date.
Make sure to check out the video and see all of the functions and features to help you decide what type of heat press is the best fit for your business!
